Dr. Babak Sarani is the Chair of the Washington, DC Committee on Trauma of the American College of Surgeons and Dr. Jordan Estroff is one of the vice-chairs.
Dr. Sarani is also co-chair of the Northern Virginia EMS Council with primary responsibility for coordinating trauma care in the Northern Virginia Area. Dr. Sarani is the Secretary for the Surgical Critical Care Program Directors Society, is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Trauma Society, is a past Board Member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and is a member of the program committee for the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Estroff is a member of the Annual Scientific Assembly Committee of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma and serves on multiple committees for the Surgical Critical Care Program Directors Society.
Dr. Susan Kartiko is the Chair of the Publications Committee of the Chest Wall Injury Society. Dr. Megan Quintana is the Subcommittee Vice Chair for Communication and Education for the AAST’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
