Paula Latortue Albino, MD (Pronouns: she/her/ella) is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Latortue joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The GW Medical Faculty Associates in October 2023. She works at the GWU Hospital in labor & delivery and at the Pennsylvania Avenue Street ambulatory clinic and performs surgeries at the GWU Hospital and Ambulatory Surgery Center.
She completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine (2016) where she became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Societies. She completed her residency at Boston Medical Center, where she was awarded the Medical Student Education Award four years in a row, and the Chief Resident Humanism Award.
Her research has focused on shared decision-making with minoritized communities in OBGYN. Her other interests include medical and surgical treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding and fibroids, as well as mentorship of medical students and residents who are under-represented in medicine. Dr Latortue is a native Spanish speaker, is fluent in French and is conversational in Haitian Creole.
