The GW Medical Faculty Associates Inc. (MFA) is the largest multi-specialty physician group practice in Washington, DC. The MFA is a not-for-profit organization that supports the education and research missions of the George Washington University School of Medicine (University) but is a separate organization from the University. The MFA employs over 750 clinicians who treat more than 4,600 patients per day across 47 medical specialties. The Department of Emergency Medicine is a full academic department in the School of Medicine and was the seventh academic department of emergency medicine in the U.S.
