Don’t Ignore the Signs of PAD
PAD often shows up as leg pain when walking, slow-healing wounds, or changes in skin color. If you have diabetes, kidney disease, a history of smoking, or heart disease, you may be at higher risk.
Early diagnosis and treatment can prevent serious complications — and even save your leg or your life.

Why Choose GW Medicine for your PAD Care?
Multidisciplinary Expertise
PAD care often requires more than one specialist. At GW Medicine, our vascular surgeons, nurse practitioners, podiatrists, and wound care specialists work as a team to treat even the most complex cases. That way, your wound healing, circulation, and overall health are all addressed in one place.
Convenient Access
We’re located just one block from DC’s Foggy Bottom Metro, making it easy to get to your appointments.

Advanced Vascular Lab
Our Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory is staffed by experts with more than 30 years of combined experience. We use advanced imaging to check circulation in your legs — from your first visit to your follow-ups — so we can give you clear answers quickly. Because our lab is right next to the vascular clinic, many patients can get testing and a consultation on the same day.
Minimally Invasive Outpatient Procedures
You don’t always need major surgery to improve your circulation. In our outpatient suite, we perform minimally invasive procedures like angioplasty, stenting, and atherectomy — all designed to restore blood flow safely and quickly. Most patients check in, have their procedure in about 30 minutes, and return home the same day without a hospital stay; this means less hospital wait time and a faster recovery.
