Nizar Tejani, MD earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his medical degree from California Northstate University College of Medicine. He subsequently completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA, followed by advanced fellowship training in Laryngology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. In his previous appointment, he served veterans at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center as a staff ENT surgeon.
Dr. Tejani’s academic and clinical interests focus on disorders of the voice, airway, and swallowing. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, the American Broncho-Esophagological Society, and the Voice Foundation.
As a member of the George Washington Voice Treatment Center, Dr. Tejani brings a unique perspective shaped by his early musical training in trombone performance at The Juilliard School Pre-College Program. His background informs his passion for the care of professional voice users and singers, and he emphasizes the importance of a multi-disciplinary approach in his practice. He is deeply committed to empowering his patients through education and collaborative decision-making.
Dr. Tejani resides in Northern Virginia with his wife. Outside of medicine, he enjoys music, stand-up comedy, hiking, and golf.
