When you sign up for text messages Short Messaging Service (SMS) from Medical Faculty Associates, Inc. d/b/a GW Medicine you are signing up to receive text messages related to your relationship with GW Medicine including:
- Billing notifications
- Appointment updates
- Information about your MyChart account
- A one-time passcode
- Prescription reminders
- Care Management
You will receive text messages from GW Medicine from the respective SMS short code number. These two-way text messages are not encrypted end-to-end and as such there is a risk these messages could be intercepted or accessed.
You can opt-out of SMS text messages by texting STOP. Your opt-out request will generate one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive SMS text messages from GW Medicine of which you opted out from.
