Biography

Tara Minaee, WHNP-BC, CNM (she/her), is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at The GW Medical Faculty Associates, where she provides comprehensive gynecologic and reproductive healthcare for patients from adolescence through menopause. With a background in midwifery, she brings a deep understanding of physiologic birth and holistic health to her practice.

Tara believes healthcare should be a collaborative partnership based on shared decision-making. She practices trauma-informed care and strives to create a safe, welcoming space where patients feel heard and supported. Whether discussing contraception options, providing gender-affirming care, navigating fertility concerns, or supporting patients through menopause, she ensures each person’s unique needs and values are at the center of their care.

Originally from the East Coast, Tara has lived in six different states but always finds herself drawn back to the changing seasons. Outside the clinic, she enjoys exploring DC’s coffee shops, spending time with her labradoodle, and taking long walks around the city. She is proud to be part of the GW MFA team and values the opportunity to build lasting relationships with her patients.
