Biography

Dr. Davis is Director of Undergraduate Medical Education in the Department of Emergency Medicine and serves as Clerkship Director for the Emergency Medicine Senior Clerkship at GW.  He is Chair of the Clinical Curriculum Sub-Committee at GW and serves on the Committee for Undergraduate Medical Education Curriculum (CUMEC).  Dr. Davis has written and presented on emergency management of ophthalmologic conditions, use of point-of-care ultrasonography in clinical medicine, and novel approaches in medical education.  He previously served as director of the Health Policy Scholarly Concentration and has presented on health policy and public health topics locally, regionally and nationally.  Dr. Davis is a graduate of the Master Teacher Leadership Development Program at GW, and a past recipient of the SMHS Distinguished Teacher Award.  Dr. Davis completed his medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, internship in Internal Medicine at GW, and residency in Emergency Medicine at GW.
