Quan Van, PA-C, RDN, MPH, is a board-certified Physician Assistant in the Department of General Surgery for The GW Medical Faculty Associates. Quan collaborates with various surgeons in General Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. Quan began his healthcare journey as an inpatient Registered Dietitian in the Surgical and Critical Care unit, where he provided comprehensive enteral and parenteral nutrition management. Later, he joined a healthcare tech startup in the Bay Area, focusing on educating underserved populations about healthy eating to better manage diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. He did this through an innovative approach called Remote Patient Monitoring, emphasizing continuity of care.

Quan completed his Physician Assistant Program at the George Washington School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He subsequently joined the GW MFA General Surgery Department. His unique blend of nutrition expertise and medical knowledge is the cornerstone of the compassionate care he provides to his patients.

In addition to his clinical work, Quan holds a Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, providing Quan with valuable insights into epidemiology and strategies aimed at bridging healthcare disparities.
