Biography

Katherine Tsavaris, MD is an assistant professor of Medicine in the division of hospital medicine at The GW Medical Faculty Associates and the GW School of Medicine & Health Sciences.

She obtained her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine prior to completing her internal medicine residency in Philadelphia with training both at Drexel University/Hahnemann University Hospital and at Temple University. After becoming a board-certified internal medicine physician she moved to the metro Washington DC area area and began as a nocturnist at Anne Arundel Medical Center during the COVID-19 pandemic. As she transitioned to Assistant professor at GW, she was able to pursue her true professional passion as a career hospitalist teaching tomorrow’s doctors.
