Biography

Bassem Mikhael, MD, MBA is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Mikhael grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, and completed his MD and MBA degrees at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School. He then went on to pursue his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he received numerous awards for teaching excellence and humanism in medicine. With a primary focus on inpatient nephrology, his clinical expertise are in fluid electrolyte disorders and critical care nephrology.

Dr. Mikhael is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and nephrology.
