Ariel Lefland, MD is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and the Director of the Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Clinic at The George Washington University and The GW Medical Faculty Associates. Dr. Lefland is board certified in neurology. She received her bachelor’s in biopsychology and medical degree from Tufts University. Dr. Lefland completed her internship and neurology residency at Duke University Hospital, where she served as Education Chief Resident. Dr. Lefland completed her fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology at Yale University School of Medicine. Concurrently with her fellowship, she completed a Master in Health Sciences - Medical Education.
Dr. Lefland’s interests include demyelinating disease such as multiple sclerosis, NMOSD and MOGAD and other autoimmune diseases of the central nervous system. Dr. Lefland is passionate about medical education, and teaching her patients, medical students, and residents.
