Biography

Anthony Trigueiro, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to individuals with severe mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions.

Dr. Trigueiro began his career as a psychiatric inpatient and emergency room nurse, where six years of frontline experience inspired him to pursue advanced doctoral training to expand his ability to serve vulnerable populations. His work as a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner has focused on improving behavioral health outcomes for individuals experiencing homelessness through programs at the Downtown Emergency Service Center, one of Seattle’s largest providers of homeless healthcare services. There, he contributed to the Opioid Treatment Network (OTN), the Homeless Outreach Support and Transition (HOST) program, the Support, Advocacy, Growth, and Employment (SAGE) program, and the Crisis Solutions Center, delivering outreach, stabilization, and recovery-oriented care.

In his current role at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, Dr. Trigueiro provides inpatient psychiatric care, conducting comprehensive assessments, managing psychotropic medications—including buprenorphine for opioid use disorder—and offering crisis intervention for patients experiencing suicidality, acute agitation, and withdrawal syndromes. He collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans that promote safe transitions of care and reduce barriers to behavioral health access.

Guided by a trauma-informed and holistic philosophy, Dr. Trigueiro emphasizes motivational interviewing, collaborative care, and recovery-focused interventions to empower patients toward stability, resilience, and long-term wellness.
