Background

In an era where healthcare access often entails long waiting times, GW Onsite Medical Access stands out by offering immediate and personalized medical care around the clock, 365 days a year. Our on-demand house call service is dedicated to delivering top-tier medical attention to both residents and visitors in the greater DC metro area, addressing urgent medical needs at their preferred location- be it a home, hotel, or office.

For over two decades, the GW Medical Faculty Associates’ Department of Emergency Medicine has been a pioneering force in innovative medical solutions and services. Among various forward-thinking initiatives focused on streamlining patient care, the MFA has continuously operated GW Onsite Medical Access in Washington, DC since 2006.

Team

Our team at GW Onsite Medical Access is comprised of Emergency Medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, paramedics, and EMTs, all of whom actively practice Emergency Medicine at the George Washington University. This cadre of highly trained professionals is carefully selected from the Department of Emergency Medicine to participate in the GW Onsite program, and they are fully equipped to address a wide spectrum of general and urgent medical concerns in both adults and children, all in the comfort of your chosen location.

Backing the GW Onsite program is the Worldwide Emergency Communications Center (WECC), a 24/7 telecommunications hub staffed by EMTs and paramedics with specialized training, cutting-edge equipment, and extensive expertise in coordinating regional and global medical consultations. The WECC diligently handles all onsite service requests, conducts a brief intake process, and promptly connects patients directly with our providers. The WECC remains a steadfast resource, available to support patients and providers throughout every case, from start to finish.
