Kristen Ahearn, DNP-FNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates in January 2022.
Ahearn has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from James Madison University (2016) and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree as a family nurse practitioner from George Mason University in 2021. Her clinical experience includes five years as a labor and delivery nurse, as well as a clinical supervisor, at George Washington University Hospital (GWUH). While at GWUH, Ahearn launched a new unit policy council to revise, implement, and develop evidence-based policies for the labor and delivery department. Her additional clinical experience includes working in the GWUH intensive care unit, providing telehealth care for the Prince William County homeless shelter, and working at INOVA Fairfax Urgent Care.
Ahearn's interests include women's health, patient education, and health policy. She strives to provide exceptional, patient-centered care and optimal outcomes in health care.
